Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Hello everyone! We both just wanted to say have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We’ve been in Rio De Janerio for the last few days where we’ve settled in our apartment on Cocacabana Beach for the next 2 weeks! Dolly’s family arrive this Saturday 23rd for 12 days and we are more than excited! Can’t wait to meet them at the airport! I’m currently contemplating just wearing my new Brazilian “Speedo Thong” as a special treat for them.
We’ve been in Brazil for about 10 days now, and most of that time has been spent just south of Rio itself, we spent 3 days in a lovely little coastal town of Paraty, and then 5 days on the
island of Ilha Grande, which was just stunningly beatiful, I don’t think either of us had been on a better beach than Lopes Mendes. We made some friends on the island and spent 3 lovely days with Tom and Emma soaking up the sun and having one to many caprinihas.
Hope you all have a great christmas and an excellent new year, and we looking forward to seeing everyone when we get back in 2007! not long now! 29 weeks gone, and only 7 weeks of the trip left!

A very Merry Christmas to you both from Michael and Ros (and James). Can’t wait till you get back to the UK. I’ll have to give you a ring and we can have a good old chin wag about your travels… shame you can’t come via NZ on your way back, would be in the middle of summer here and our first born James could say hi to his uncle Ricky. Hope your both well and congrats on the engagement (she’s not pregnant is she???) I hope you both have a great 2007.
