Charlie and the Tequila Factory

Now, that would have been a much better film. Maybe there is a mexican version, anyhoo… After making our way up to Guadalajara on a 7 hour bus ride we found a place to stay in the DSC00643 middle of the city and booked ourselves in for tomorows Tequila tour, starting with another bus ride 100km north of the city to a town called….wait for it…..Tequila. suprising huh. The birth place of Tequila.

There we about 12 of us on the tour, 4 or 5 brits, a few auzzies, a few yanks and couple from spain, and quite frankly, it became obvious fairly early on that this was going to be a large session. DSC00622 Upon arrival at the factory a nice Mexican lady kindly explained how Tequila was produced “Where’s the Tequila?” came the reply, moving on to the distillation process… “Where’s the Tequila?” finally a look at the museum of Tequila… “Where’s the bloody Tequila!” eventually, the “tasting” began, and within about 30 minutes everyone was wasted. just wasted. DSC00647 A bottle or 2 was bought for the journey home, but i don’t really recall much about that. I remember going in to the Tequila Factory, but I don`t remember leaving but I’m sure some Mexican Umpa Lupas helped me on to the bus.

The Next day we got on another Bus and headed for the Pacific Coast, and finally the beach and some sun. Although after the session the day before it was one hell of a rough bus journey, winding through mountain passes and the like. not good with a Tequila hangover, Dolly wasn´t to well on the bus, let me put it that way. Uggghhhhh. after 5 hours we arrived in Puerto Vallarta, checked into a place, and crashed.
